Atmospheric CO2 to reach 400 parts per million all year round
This is largely due to the El Niño climate cycle in the Pacific Ocean, giving a boost to the year-on-year rise in anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions.
CO2 levels of over 400 ppm were first recorded at Mauna Loa on 9 May 2013. See viewtopic.php?f=86&t=158&p=239&hilit=400#p239

However, according to BP's annual energy review, Carbon dioxide emissions from energy consumption grew by just 0.1 per cent last year in their smallest advance since 2009, due to lower coal use and sluggish growth. This is a significant reduction from the 0.5 per cent rise in 2014.
