Park Home Resident Seminars - Fuel Poverty Prevention Strategy

ALEO's national sponsor, Park Home Insulations, are currently arranging seminars for park home residents across the UK. Please see Steve Barnard's invitation to local authorities with park homes in their areas, below:

At Park Home Insulations Ltd we are continuing to highlight the profile of Fuel Poor and Fuel Poverty Prevention for vulnerable Park Home residents living in the UK’s worst housing conditions. We have recently held a successful event at Warfield Park, Bracknell which was supported by Hazel Hill at BFC, Hazel invited Trading Standards to also attend, we arranged for an invitation to the event to be added in the monthly newsletter and inserted one of our brochures. We arranged the event and covered the cost of hiring the hall and all the marketing, we just suggested that Hazel attend to show her and the councils support. This approach is only targeting our Fuel Poverty Prevention Strategy, without funding streams we are expecting residents to either fully fund the entire cost of works, or be in a position to partially fund then consider spreading the remaining balance over an interest free term, ensuring we follow the Green Deal Golden Rule. (The repayments are never more than the expected energy savings).

I am looking to arrange more of these seminars at park sites or nearby venues across the entire UK in the upcoming weeks/months, it would be truly beneficial for the residents if LAs were able to attend to support our Fuel Poverty Prevention Strategy and provide peace of mind, this may also help highlight the fuel poor who unfortunately will have to sit tight for weightier funding streams, hopefully soon!
