Advice packages

HI All, I am in contact with a Housing Association who are in the process of building new properties to passive house standards. They are very aware that these buildings present a different way of living for the tenants who will be moving in and were wondering if anyone had developed or knew of any advice leaflets or literature that existed. This is before they make any decision on whether to write something up themselves. They are happy to share anything that is developed.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy, I am a Certified Passive House Consultant.

There are several sources of official information about Passive Houses.

The best is the Passive House Institute, PHI, in Germany, their website does have an English translation, see http://passiv.de/en/index.php .

There is also the International Passive House Association, IPHA, see http://www.passivehouse-international.o ... page_id=65

In this country the Passive House Trust is the official organisation affiliated to the IPHA. See http://www.passivhaustrust.org.uk/ .

It's also worth looking at the Association of Environmentally Conscious Builders, the Sustainable Builders Association, AECB, site, see http://www.aecb.net/

There are members only parts of all the websites but a lot of the information and resources they have is in the public domain.

Thanks

Peter

Hi,

Orbit Heart of England have built passive haus in Coventry. I belive they have produced guides for tennants so it maybe worth contact them. The best office is their Stratford on Avon office and speak to someone in their sustainable developement team. Debs Slavin might be a good starting point.

Best wishes

Rachel
