Ofgem Consultation for a vulnerable customer safeguard tariff

On 11 October, Ofgem announced a consultation on its proposals for a vulnerable customer safeguard energy tariff, first announced in July.

This safeguard tariff would limit the amount a supplier can charge per unit of energy to customers receiving the Warm Home Discount, and will be set at the same price level as the current safeguard tariff for customers using prepayment meters.

The deadline for responses to the consultation is 9 am, 13 November 2017.
