Warm Homes Fund Round 2 Opened and Round 1 Winners Announced

Post by ALEO Admin » Thu Dec 21, 2017 5:32 pm

The winners of the first round of the Warm Home Fund - from National Grid and Community Interest Company Affordable Warmth Solution (AWS) - were announced on 14 December 2017, with 9,000 homes set to benefit.

The £150 million fund was set up using part of the proceeds from the sale of the National Grid's majority stake in its gas distribution business. It will fund the installation of affordable heating solutions in fuel poor households which don’t use mains gas as their primary source of heat.

Following the first round of bidding, a total of £33 million is now being awarded to 35 local authorities and social landlords representing partnerships across England, Scotland and Wales.

The Warm Homes Fund's second round of bidding was opened on 27 November 2017, and will close on Friday, 9 February 2018.
