Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme Fund Announcement

The Energy Saving Trust have announced a new fund available through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme.

The amount available is £298,500, with the minimum grant £20,000 and the maximum £298,500.

Proposals must be led by a charity registered in England, Wales or Scotland, but other
partners do not have to be charities. However, organisations that are regulated by Ofgem (and might therefore need to make Voluntary Redress payments at some point) or have close links to organisations regulated by Ofgem, cannot receive Redress payments so cannot be funded partners.

The core priorities for the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme are to:
  • Deliver benefits to the types of consumers that were negatively impacted by the breach(es) that have occurred; and
  • Support Ofgem policy priorities, which are currently to support:
    - energy consumers in vulnerable situations
    - the development of products and/ or services, which are genuinely
innovative and not currently accessible to energy consumers or certain
    groups of energy consumers.
