Post by ALEO Admin » Tue May 22, 2018 4:11 pm

On 21 May, the Prime Minister delivered a speech on science and the industrial strategy, where she pledged to use "new technologies and modern construction practices" to "at least" halve the energy usage of new buildings by 2030. She also said that the government is aiming to halve the costs of reaching the same standard in existing buildings.

May also used her speech to announce that the government wished to secure associate status in the EU Horizon 2020 and Euratom R&D nuclear research programmes.
