Mark Group Goes Into Administration

Mark Group, one of Britain's biggest installers of insulation and solar panels, has gone into administration with the loss of over 900 jobs and a further 200 jobs at risk unless a buyer can be found.
Chief executive Dave Sowden is calling on the government to rethink its entire approach to energy policy. However, a DECC spokesperson has said that "our priority is to keep bills as low as possible for hardworking families and businesses."

Neil Marshall, Chief Executive of the National Insulation Association, has called for the Government to fast track the development of its new long-term, sustainable policy framework and introduce urgent transitional arrangements in the meantime to address the current hiatus with the market and industry.
