ECO Local Authority Flexibility Criteria

In May 2017, ALEO London wrote to the CEOs of all the London Boroughs to raise awareness of the new Local Authority Flexibility Criteria in ECO and urging them to sign and publish their Statement of Intent.
While we recognise that not every Council has capacity to resource additional action on fuel poverty, every borough has households that next winter will struggle to heat their home. Without a Statement of Intent, local residents will be ineligible for this element of funding. We also used the letter to encourage collaboration between boroughs, especially where resources are already stretched.
Our members have fedback that the letter is having an impact and we are currently surveying members to find out how many SOI have been published. If you would like to update us on the progress of your SOI please email the ALEO London Secretariat at rachael.mills@se-2.co.uk.
