Sub-regional fuel poverty data 2024 (based on 2022 data) using government’s new Low Income Low Energy Efficiency (LILEE) metrics were released in April (https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/sub-regional-fuel-poverty-data-2024-2022-data) . London’s fuel poverty rate is 10.4%, compared to the England rate of 13.1%. The West Midlands (19.6%) and Yorkshire & Humber (17%) had the highest and the South East is the lowest in the country at 9.7%.
In London, Newham have the worst overall FP (14.8%), and in outer London Barking & Dagenham are at 13.4%. City of London has the lowest overall FP at 5.3% and Sutton have the lowest (8.6%) in outer London. Inner London average is 10.4%, outer London average is 10.5%.

HUG Phase 2 has so far delivered 2600 measures to 1500 homes. By comparison, HUG1 delivered 6400 measures to 4000 homes. Solar PV remains the most popular measure. Four households in London received HUG2 works in London at the time of reporting.
