7. Sustainable Energy Centres (SEC) Seminar

During 2004-5 the EST is to run a pilot scheme for SEC. It is recognised that one of the largest users
of SEC will be local authorities. This seminar will examine the role of the LA in the proposed SEC and
outline the plans for the introduction of this important project in 2005. Consultation has
already been undertaken in the provision of these centres and it is likely to include the existing roles
of EEAC and LASP under one roof, as well as dealing with the issues around emissions from the
transport sector and general sustainability challenges.
